Consumer Sensory Insights Manager - Your future position?

 

A Consumer & Sensory Insights Manager with the global leader in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing and an essential member of our Taste & Wellbeing French Team based in Paris office (Argenteuil).  

As our Consumer & Sensory Insights (CSI) Manager for France you will lead, design and execute CSI projects to provide insights to develop new Taste & Wellbeing solutions according to the local goals and strategy. The Consumer & Sensory Insights (CSI) Manager will work with technical, sales, marketing team in France, Western Europe and other sub-regional teams.

You will design and execute CSI projects in order to provide insights for the development of new Taste & Wellbeing solutions according to the overall local business goals and strategy.

 

You will be based in Argenteuil and be reporting to the Commercial Director France.

 

You will:

  • Provide relevant/actionable sensory support to local flavour creation, application and commercial teams
  • Provide industry-leading CSI expertise to support Givaudan's business and growth or customer projects
  • Define priorities and manage projects by developing consumer and sensory protocols/ approaches and team involvement in the country.
  • Lead the promotion of sensory and consumer capabilities and results to internal and external customers or university partners/scientific community
  • Lead projects. Define priorities and manage a pool of projects by developing approaches and resources for project success
  • Develop country specific CSI strategy and implement it in collaboration with Sub regional CSI Manager. Part of the French Leadership Team.
  • Develop and apply innovative CSI solutions to create a competitive edge for Givaudan. Identify areas of innovation and recommend projects according to needs.
  • Develop, Roll-out or create new methodologies according to needs to expand CSI capabilities.
  • Facilitate communication between countries and departments to ensure transfer of best practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of all CSI testing: create and enter information in CSI system
  • Design advanced computerized testing protocols
  • Conduct relevant statistical analysis, interpret results, write reports and provide results, interpretation and guidance to internal and external customers

 

You?

  • Advanced university degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Marketing or related area experience in industry
  • 8-10 years of consumer and sensory insights expert in foods, beverages in B2C or B2B.
  • Fluent in English, French native language
  • Demonstrated proficiency and leadership in cross-functional project management and problem-solving in research and product development environment
  • Proven project management experience, communication and cross-functional team leadership, international project management a plus
  • Demonstrated independence in applying innovative CSI methodologies including descriptive, discriminative, quantitative testing plus integrative and design of experiments to answer objectives.
  • Proven success in the design and management of complex research studies.
  • Experience in Social Listening: qualitative and quantitative and knowledge on Social Media principles is a plus.
  • Experience in managing project teams in conducting complex experiments
