Junior Evaluator – Argenteuil, France - Your future position?

We are recruiting for a Junior Evaluator for the Fabric Care category, to be based in Argenteuil, offering an excellent opportunity for both your personal and professional development.

Our Junior Evaluators are fragrance development specialists whose primary goal is to successfully deliver fragrances to our customers, with a clear understanding of their requirements. To do so, they understand the market and the consumer's behaviour and preferences.

In this role you will be responsible for the fragrance development activities, in close collaboration with CFMs and Senior Evaluators. You will need to ensure quick turnaround response to customers' briefs utilizing existing systems and set up of Givaudan.

The Junior Evaluator will report to the Creative Fragrance Team Director.

In this exciting role you will:

Fragrance development

• Manage/execute multiple complex briefs and develop or select fragrances according to the given brief guidelines
• Support Sr. Evaluators/CFM's on their projects
• Work with Perfumers on technical modifications & guide them in the development of new creations
• Work with lab on testing product stability
• Participate in olfactory analysis of new products to identify interesting notes for creative Development
• Prepare internal/small customer presentations
• Write simple creative fragrance descriptions

Industry and Marketing

• Build basic knowledge of fragrance products, general market dynamics, and key customers

Activation and Gallery

• Build and curate the best in class fragrance collection, responding to gap analysis, market needs, market trends
• Manage fast and efficient selection of fragrances for activation projects

Your professional profile includes

• 1-2 years experience as intern/trainee in evaluation, or with related industry experience
• Competent olfactory skills: ability to define, recognize and memorize olfactory notes and fragrance language terms and determine olfactory directions (to be assessed by standardized olfactory test)
• Passion for perfume and olfaction
• Ability to interact with customers/clients on briefs, technical matters and other issues
• Fluency in English, plus fluency in Spanish is an advantage
