Manufacturing Execution Solution Architect - Your future role?

As a Manufacturing Execution Solution Architect in Argenteuil, you will:

 

  • Provide architecture expertise to Manufacturing Execution Product line and Product teams to guide successful solution design and implementation, aligned with Product Roadmap objectives that contribute to Digital strategy
  • Make sure new Solutions/Applications introduced (or evolution of existing ones) are aligned with the Architecture strategy and principles and enable Givaudan IS Landscape to become and future-fit
  • Align with Operations Enterprise Architect to ensure the Digital Solution group consistency and coherence from an Architecture standpoint
  • Communicate Manufacturing Execution Architecture roadmap
  • Together with Data integration team, defines integration of products within Manufacturing Execution Products and products and connection outside of these products

 

You will report to the Operations Enterprise Architect.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

Product roadmap Definition:

  • Solution Architect will contribute Principal Architects, Enterprise Architects and Product Managers on the definition and evolution of the Product Roadmaps and Technologies strategies, informed by their involvement in individual initiatives
  • Analyse the current Business Application Architecture landscape of the given Product, to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements
  • Develop migration strategies to close gaps between our states of the Product Architecture

 

Product Roadmap Execution:

  • Play the “Architect Lead” role for projects (waterfall) and Epics/ART’s (Agile) being accomplished under the responsibility of the Product Line/Product, the Architect is assigned to
    • Liaise with other Solution Architects in other Products within the Product Line or other Products within the same Functional domain (Digital Solutions or Departments /Technology Groups or Horizontals as we call it in Givaudan) to bring together viewpoints of Enterprise, Solution, information and technology architecture to design solutions that deliver value and enable organisations to become and future-fit.
    • Validate solution Architecture: Ensures projects (waterfall) and Epics/User Stories (Agile) comply with established EA principles and standards.
    • Liaise with Enterprise Architects to check on how projects (waterfall) and Epics/User Stories (Agile)  contribute to close the gap between today’s and future Business Capabilities
    • Responsible for building and for the completeness of the Solution Architecture Design (SAD) document, liaising with all other Architects to make sure SAD is complete.
    • Document new and changes on existing Solutions for your Product/Platform in Mega
    • Involve Enterprise Architects to guarantee coherence of the proposed Architectures in projects (waterfall) and ART/Epics/User Stories (Agile) that are Cross Product, Cross Vertical (Digital Solutions), Cross Horizontal (IT&O, Information Security, Data & Analytics)
  • Responsible for the ADR (Architecture Decision Record): Analyzes high-level requirements and identifies potential scenarios. Lead solution assessments
  • Contribute to the definition of the way applications exchange information across Products (Data & Analytics accountable and responsible)

 

Architecture Governance:

  • Communicate and ensure adherence to architecture processes, principles and guidelines. Abides to Architecture governance and process

 

Technology:

  • Lead technology watch activities on the Manufacturing Execution Product Line
  • Up to date with Solution Architecture best practices in the market. Assess their relevance and potential value to Givaudan
  • Support technical community engineers and support teams

 

You have:

  • Required Higher Education completed preferably with a degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional working experience in the field of Solution Architecture in the Manufacturing Execution domain
  • Experience defining Architecture strategy and design of MES and Digital Twins with integration to ERP (e.g SAP), IoT and Data Analytics
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture enabling a holistic understanding of a complex system landscape with an excellent technical background including hands-on experience in the software development process
  • Experience discerning whether a prospect is a good fit for a product based on discovery conversations and conceptual skills; Ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects
  • Knowledge of TOGAF/SAFE
  • Familiar with architectural, development and operational methodologies (e.g., ITIL, ITSM …) with excellent knowledge of information systems, related modelling methods and tools
  • Good understanding of Innovation approaches and methodologies (Design Thinking, lean Startup, …)
  • Knowledge of MSA, Backend & Front End technologies and Mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
  • Good strategic, analytical and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of graphical modelling approaches, tools and model repositories.
