As the Head of Regulatory EAME in the Fragrance & Beauty division, you will lead the regional regulatory function to ensure relevant strategy is implemented throughout the organization according to global, regional and local regulations and within corporate guidelines. You will maintain an effective organization partnering with Commercial, Technical, Procurement and Operations teams. You will report to the Senior VP of Global Regulatory Affairs & Product Satefy.  In this role you should be based either in Ashford, UK or Argenteuil, France as the majority of our regional regulatory teams are in these locations. 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Organizational Leadership: You will lead the EAME regulatory team. You will manage talent and succession planning. You will ensure that the organizational design (including people skills and competencies) are aligned with our business needs. You will ensure full alignment with all key functions and parties being an advocate with business & with customers. 

 

  • Regulatory policy: You will contribute to the development of global policies and implementation on a regional level. You will Provide surveillance for local/regional regulatory /legislative issues, develop and implement appropriate advocacy policies.  You will collaborate with your regional counterparts to ensure regulatory compliance is consistent globally. You will directly interact with regional senior management to ensure regulatory function is supporting business and clients appropriately. You will ensure all products comply with safety and regulatory requirements and is consistent with commercial, creation and research requirements. You will provide regulatory consulting to internal and external customers.

 

  • Process & Systems: You will develop and maintain systems infrastructure to support key regulatory compliance and safety initiatives through coordination with global functions. You will assure integrity of regulatory systems and database as well as protection of regional intellectual property.

 

  • External Relations: You will coordinate Givaudan’s position on issues with trade associations; organizing and leading external affairs advocacy in the safety and regulatory field.


You?

  • Proven track record in leading diverse teams
  • Leadership skills - experience in developing strategy, vision, mission & purpose 
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant functional experience
  • Expert understanding of global & regional regulatory issues
  • Advanced university degree in a scientific field (MBA is a plus)
  • Ability to understand and translate complex scientific, product safety or regulatory topics to business & customers
