PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE JOB

You will manage the Home care laboratory in your field of activity; ensure technical support and solve encountered technical issues linked to the briefs; communicate on regular basis technical progresses achieved in the field and consolidate knowledge/data bases; ensure effective communication with perfumers, development, and sales. Be a point of contact with customers for all technical related issues.

You will report to the Technical Support Director

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take charge of Household projects within your area.
  • Supervise, maximize and report Laboratory activity using appropriate management tools.
  • Run tests to understand fragrance ingredients / bases interactions, in your field.
  • Maintain a productive collaboration with technology and application teams.

 

Be the coordinator to :

  • develop lab efficiency and ensure the best use of lab resources
  • evaluate & develop lab resources
  • ensure the respect of uniform “good practices” procedures

 

Provide a good level of technical support on briefs, by best use of lab resources. Ensure personal development of your team.

• Be prime contact with Perfumers and CFD/CFM for technical support.

• Provide to the perfumers all relevant technical info maximizing fragrance creation.

• Maintain a productive collaboration with perfumers and development team.

• Be point of contact with customers on all technical issues encountered in the context of briefs

 

Positive feedback from perfumers on support provided.

• Be point of contact with customers on all technical issues encountered in the context of briefs

• Ensure good scientific and technical representation at clients.

• Participate to technology projects with key Clients.

 

Positive feedback from Customers concerning presentations , collaboration and technical assistance.

• Monitor market category formulations.

• Contribute to identify innovative ways of designing perfume for Household products.

• Identify and understand trends in the category.

• Maintain a productive collaboration with external partners e.g. raw materials suppliers,….

 

Become an expert in your field of activity by providing infos on market trends and be aware of formulations/technologies developed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Scientific background, Chemistry knowledge, Olfactive & perfumery knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of Home care products, ie actives, main components
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques applied to Perfumery
  • Strong team spirit , self-motivated and autonomous
  • English mandatory
  • Experience in the field of perfumery and product development
