Senior Site Buyer

Senior Site Buyer -  for Indirect Materials and Services - Your future role?
As a Senior Site Buyer at Givaudan, you manage the procurement process for Indirect Materials and Services (IM&S) for our Argenteuil and Paris sites. You will service assigned departments and lead the entire procurement process, such as defining business requirements, sourcing, negotiating contracts and managing suppliers. You will also support and manage national, cross-site projects and initiatives in France.


In this position, reporting to the Procurement Manager for France, you will:


Sourcing & Market Research

  • Drive the sourcing process by developing intimate knowledge of selected commodity markets 
  • Analyse trends and market movements for use in making sound procurement decisions
  • Advise and assist other functions in the evaluation and pricing of alternative materials (trade practices, pricing, market conditions, delivery terms, utilization of technical services of vendors)


Vendor Selection

  • Drive vendor selection and consolidation
  • Initiate search for new or alternative materials / products
  • Investigate and approve the facilities, quality and financial responsibility of potential suppliers
  • Support the responsible sourcing projects implementation


Negotiations & Contract Management

  • Manage tender processes (RFI, RFP…)
  • Analyze quotes and negotiate the procurement terms to optimize the TCO
  • Negotiate and establish annual and long term contracts
  • Implement local agreements and support the financial targets
  • Ensure contracts comply with the regional guidelines and the global delegation of authorities / signatories policy


Reporting, Process Management & Documentation

  • Provide market conditions, pricing, shortages or technical information to Global Category Managers and make recommendations
  • Integrate the IM&S processes so as to conform to the guidelines developed within the SAP and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) system
  • Maintain existing SRM catalogues and drive the implementation of new ones




Your professional profile includes:


  • A Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience as a buyer or a similar role in the field of indirect procurement
  • Fluent English and French, another language is a plus
  • Project management skills and good understanding of the procurement process
  • Able to work with people of different levels and fields
  • System skills (SAP / SRM)
