Research Associate - Your future position? 

As a Research Associate, based in Argenteuil, you will independently perform research activities and document results in order to develop improved and new products and solutions within your own area, according to the company's business objectives and corporate strategy.

Your core responsibilities will include - 

Research activities:

• Execute scientific/technical projects within Project Management System, deliver and document results
• Independently conceive and propose research studies, in alignment with needs of the projects
• Autonomously design and launch experimental studies and projects using modern tools and approaches (Design of Experiments, Bayesian Optimisation, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines
• Be alert to and highlight opportunities to develop IP and protect inventions 

Scientific support:

• Develop and maintain scientific excellence in your field
• Interact with suppliers
• Supervise and mentor other lab members as appropriate
• Effectively contribute to development of research methods and technical planning
• Follow scientific advancement in the field

You? 

Your professional profile includes: 

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in the industry
• Expertise in some of the relevant areas such as: Design, synthesis/functionalization & characterisation of (bio)macromolecules; Sustainable materials; Emulsions, Microencapsulation; Analytical characterization methods; 
• Experience in chemical modification and/or processing; experience in natural macromolecules
• Physical Chemistry of Liquid Interfaces, Emulsions, Colloids
• First experience in R&D project management
• Understanding of regulatory challenges in this field
• Curious and open to exploring novel methodologies
• Proven track record of new product development or contribution to new product development
• Experience in project management tools is preferred
• International experience is advantageous
• Ability to learn on the fly
• Strong drive for business support
• Verbal and written command of English and French
