Delivery System Senior Laboratory Technician
Design and conduct research projects in order to develop improved new products and solutions, according to company's business objectives and corporate strategy.
Develop Fragrance excellence and implement scientific and technological advancements.
You will report to the senior research scientist in the delivery system department.
Core Responsibilities
Research
As a Senior Laboratory Technician at Givaudan, your role will involve translating consumer benefits or customer requirements, which are typically received through new business opportunities, and into a set of laboratory samples. You will have to plan, organize, and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery of results.
Responsibilities:
Project: You will perform experiments under a project leader on a day to day basis, tracking, recording all learning and share them with your supervisor. Additionally, you will have to write reports, update and to support stage gate reviews to ensure project progress and alignment with objectives.
Problem Solving: Applying creative and innovative thinking skills, you will solve problems and work towards achieving project deliverables.
Research Method Development: You will effectively contribute to the development of research methods under supervision and identify their impact on current products.
Collaboration Interaction: You will have to collaborate with potential outside collaborations and interact with suppliers.
Scientific knowhow:
Serve as a scientific and technical expert in your own area. Participate in building a solution. Actively sharing knowledge and learning in specialist field to ensure the optimal performance
Profile
- BUT or L3
- Expertise in some of the following topics
- Design, synthesis & characterization of (bio)polymers
- Microencapsulation – Delivery Systems
- Emulsions
- Sustainable materials
- Strong analytical chemistry (examples: viscosity, particle size, zeta potential, chromatographic methods, IR, UV, SEM, TGA, DSC ….)
- Experience in R&D environment
- Strong drive for results
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work in the lab
- Be able to connect and build relationships with a large variety of people (e.g. Perfumers, commercial sales people and for instance production management)
- Fluency in French and English is required
