Senior Fragrance Evaluator (w/m/d)

As a Fragrance Analyst (w/m/d) based in Ashford, you will have specific responsibilities for managing a subset of activities centred around Site QC activity associated to either a specific type of material e.g. FF, CP, AB, OC, Ing, Caps and/or customer(s) and/or task(s).

 

You will report to our Quality Control Manager.

 

In this exciting role you will :

  • Manage product and customer specific processes/tasks applicable to the Site
  • Be a Single Contact (SPOC) for a specific product type and/or customer(s)
  • Provide technical expertise / support regarding multiple aspects of materials/processes involved e.g. Sensory, Analytical, manufacturing, and raw materials
  • As a technical expert, perform sensory and/or analytical assessments for the materials in scope and be accountable for the final Usage Decision and release of product
  • Lead the investigation in case of non-conformance (internal or external) associated to the assigned products/customers
  • Work with the QC Manager, Supervisor and other Senior Analysts to schedule resource in the QC team to manage the prioritisation according to routine or ad hoc customer demands

Your success profile includes:

  • High School Diploma within a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology with experience in chemistry or laboratory techniques and general equivalency development (GED) is required
  • Overall work experience of 5 years in a similar position
  • Previous background in Sensory Evaluation QC
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge with a passion to solve challenges
  • Laboratory or QC techniques
  • Used to work in a matrix organisation with flexible working hours but also willing to travel on request
  • Business fluent in English (reading and writing) and French as a desirable attribute
  • Experienced in preparing technical reports and presentations, adapting the style to suit all kinds of internal and external audience
  • Experience managing workload through a team, with or without line manager responsibility
