Senior Sensory Science Technician-Ashford, Kent – Your future position?

The Sensory Science team is a diverse team within the Fragrance S&T function, providing expertise and project support to business and research platforms. An opportunity has arisen for a senior sensory science technician to join our team with a focus on coordinating and conducting sensory tests with our trained fragrance sensory panellists.

In this exciting position, you will:

• Coordinate and schedule all fragrance business and research support requests with the external fragrance panellists
• Conduct fragrance sensory tests with trained sensory panels
• Carry out sample preparation
• Keep database records up to date
• Maintain panellists’ motivation and performance
• Support recruitment, screening and training of panellists
• Liaise with development and research teams
• Ensure a safe laboratory working environment

Your professional profile includes:

• Being a detail-oriented individual who is able to effectively contribute to a team environment
• Having the ability to prioritise tasks and to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
• Hands-on laboratory experience
• Planning and organising daily activities
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Dynamic self-starter and action oriented
• Curious and customer centric
• Knowledge and technical skills in sensory science discipline / sensory data capture software is desirable
• Knowledge and experience in the Fragrance/Flavour or FMCG industry is desirable
