Sensory Scientist - Your future role?
An opportunity has arisen for a sensory scientist to join our team with a focus on the Home Care and Oral Care category. As a Sensory Scientist for Home Care and Oral Care in Ashford, you will be a part of the Sensory Science team which is a diverse team within the Fragrance S&T function, providing expertise and project support to business and research platforms.
You will be reporting to the Head of Sensory Science.
You will:

Supervise the running of the trained Oral Care panel and working on projects for both the Home Care and Oral Care category.

Deliver an industry-leading oral care sensory measurement service, using facilities, data acquisition, and assessment methodologies.

Develop the methodology toolbox for the two categories, looking for and assessing methodologies that bring innovation to the sensory team.

apply expert knowledge in the area of sensory science to implement new methodologies and ways of working.

partner with the business and research teams ensuring work is following the business and research strategy.

collaborate with the Global Sensory Science team to ensure agreement of best working practices.

manage the Oral Care panel leader and student

ensure a safe laboratory and office working environment.

Your professional background includes:

Organise daily activities

Curious and customer-centric

Sensory experience with practical knowledge of sensory evaluation methods and their role in supporting product development and optimization.

Interpret findings and make recommendations based on results.

Experience developing new sensory protocols.

Experience with sensory software and statistical analysis.

Excellent report writing
-
Contribute to a team environment.

People and project management experience are desirable.
-
A relevant degree in science with sensory science modules

Experience in the Fragrance/Flavour or FMCG industry is desirable.
