Application Senior Technologist



We are looking for a Senior Food Applications Technologist based in Avignon, as a permanent contract.

As a Senior Technologist, you will need to work well with a cross-functional team, providing excellent service in terms of concept development, sample delivery, product presentations, and process support.
The senior technologist works closely with Account Managers, Marketing/strategic teams, and fellow applications technologists to develop an understanding of the market and customer needs to develop market suitable product concepts.

The senior technologist combines food values and science and ensures he/she is well informed on the changes and developments related to R&D and that his/her knowledge is up-to-date within the context of new developments/legislation changes, etc.


Reporting directly to the natural ingredients technical manager based in Avignon, the Senior Food Applications Technologist will support all the ranges of natural ingredients from a technological point of view and will therefore be leading:


  • Product validation in end-products
  • Development of food prototypes
  • Finding new applications fields
  • Rolling-out knowledge in the different sales regional organization


The main areas of focus will be preservation, texturizers, colors, and botanical extracts.

The job is based in Avignon.
This position requires traveling to France and other countries, if necessary for training and business support.

Your profile:

  • Required to have a Master’s degree in Food Science or related discipline;
  • 7+ years of professional experience;
  • A first technical experience in using texturizers is ideal;
  • Broad knowledge and culture of the food industry (confectionery, beverages, bakery, dairy, meat) – formulas and processes);
  • Good to have experience in a BtoC company;
  • Must have fluent English;
  • Practical, pragmatic, results-oriented.
