Continuous Improvement Lead

 

Continuous Improvement Lead in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrances & Beauty, and an essential part of our Naturex France Team - Your future position?

 

  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within a large/complex site to embed best practices, reinforce a continuous improvement mindset and streamline non-value added activities.
  • Act as CI partner for local OPS Management team, being part of that committee.
  • Empower management and teams to feed project pipeline, and ensure business case and financial benefits are well established prior to project selection

 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:

 

Strategy design and execution

  • Contribute to the design of local Operations strategies by advising on the schedule and execution of key Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Work with the Regional head of CI and contribute to a regional strategy

 

Continuous Improvement Management

  • Define the local Continuous Improvement program and step-change improvement opportunities in collaboration with site leadership and challenge the local Operations organization in identifying OPEX opportunities in order to define fundamental changes to the value stream.
  • Ensure alignment in priorities, and related actions, and support site teams selecting the best tools/methods from the CI toolbox to execute the improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate Lean certification standards with the Site Operations management and measure level of achievement.

 

Project Management

  • Track implementation progress of approved CI projects/programs, monitoring resource plans, project team accountabilities, change requests, deadlines, milestones, etc. and manage periodic updates to project stakeholders.

 

Change management and Capability building

  • Advise CI and Project Managers in developing change management roadmaps.
  • Influence local Operations management to engage in the change journey and negotiate resources and capabilities needs.
  • Challenge existing processes/practices and coach project teams in applying effective problem solving to develop solutions and initiate change.
  • Assess local capability gaps and develop and implement solutions with the Site Operations management to close these, e.g. trainings, resource changes, etc.

 

Your professional profile includes:

 

Academic Background

  • University degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master preferred).
  • LEAN certification.

 

Professional Experience

  • Overall work experience of 7 to 10 years including of which at least 3 years in a Lean implementation role.
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in people management.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Training experience with operators, shift leaders and departmental managers.
