As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to strengthen our S&T Explore Sense team with an experienced Food Scientist.


In this position, you will join our global Sense preservation team in charge of designing and delivering exciting innovations in the food preservation space. You will be a key contributor, and sometimes leader, of innovation topics covering sourcing, processing, formulation, open innovation, etc.

 

You will be responsible for proposing and managing projects aiming at the development of Clean label ingredient solutions via innovative processes using natural sources, and demonstrating their antioxidative activities in food products. 

 

Missions and responsibilities:

 

Your duties as the Food Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Innovation activities 

 You will be a key member of the Science and Technology Explore team and will be required to liaise with research process scientists, biochemists, and plant scientists in order to understand the requirements of different research and business groups, helping you to coordinate the development of the solutions to be obtained via innovative processes and technologies, and demonstrating their antioxidative activities in food products.

 

  • Communication  

It will be your responsibility to document all experimental work to the appropriate guidelines while also maintaining and preparing collaborations with internal and external partner laboratories. You will be a decisive and convincing leader in your area by adapting your communication style to the audience.

 

  • Expertise

As the expert in your domain, you will maintain state-of-the-art expertise in the field (plant/natural source science and extraction, downstream processing, food application) and drive ambitious projects and programs for the group. It will be important to maintain an awareness of new technologies to keep the work up-to-date (literature and patent reviews and filing, conferences, trade shows).

 

 

  • Ownership 

You will be expected to lead complex projects from proposal/conception to delivery to customers, engaging with other departments as necessary, including business development and other technical groups to customers.

 

Your Profile:

 

To be successful in your application for this exciting opportunity as the Senior Food Scientist, we are looking to identify the following skills and experience from you:

 

A relevant Ph.D. in a bioprocess-related discipline (e.g. Plant Science, Food Science, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, etc.) OR proven industry experience in product development which uses innovative technologies would be highly beneficial to this position.

 

You have working knowledge and practical experience in an industrial environment are desirable for this position. This could include the ability to design, execute and document experimental activities to industrial standards.


You have a working knowledge and experience in project and people management and Coordination of international project teams.
