Global Category Buyer / Procurement Manager

As part of creating our new global Procurement organization, we are looking for a Global Category Buyer with an EMEA scope in the Nutrition & Health category in fixed term contract for 6 months (beginning mid-January). 

Based in Avignon, France.

 

You will report to the Senior Category Manager Nutrition & Health, based in Avignon

 

Missions:


Sourcing Strategy:

 

•    Help in the development and implementation of RM category strategies
•    Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio of Natural specialties (Plants and extracts)
•    Where applicable, lead sourcing strategy development within cross-functional team for key categories
•    Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and key negotiations


Portfolio Management:

 

 •    Negotiate contracts 
•    Select, manage, and audit suppliers
•    Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve creation and manufacturing in the development of optimization plans
•    Own key supplier relationships, and lead supplier conflict resolutions
•    Communicate to suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications
•    Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance with contracts
•    Ensure vendor performance at target levels
•    Manage critical supply issues related to quality, and availability to find the best solution with internal stakeholders and suppliers


Stakeholder Relationship: 

 

•    Communicate to key internal stakeholders any market conditions changes which may affect the Business.
•    Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed.
•    Work on Scope 3 improvement with suppliers to reach our targets on CO2 emissions


Cost Optimization:


•    Provide sufficient information for business planning process.
•    Develop cost reduction projects 

•    Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities

 

 

Are you an energetic self-starter with a lot of passion for raw materials and Procurement? Does the variety of applying your technical knowledge, building relationships and negotiating excite you?

 

 

You?

 

•    Agronomy University degree preferred or equivalent experience
•    2-3 years’ experience in Procurement and/or functional experience 

•    Knowledge of F&F / Natural products industry
•    Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category
•    International exposure in previous role a plus
•    Fluent in French and English, other languages a +
•    Excellent negotiation skills.

•    Willingness to travel between 20-30% mainly within region

•    Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
•    Passion for success with a high energy level
