Regenerative Agriculture Manager - Your future role?

As the Regenerative Agriculture manager, you will support Givaudan’s objectives to develop regenerative agriculture (regen ag) in our strategic natural ingredient supply chains.

You will report directly to the Head of Agronomy.

 

In this exciting role your main responsibilities will include:

 

Lead regenerative agriculture programme, build internal expertise & manage value chain projects

  • Lead and oversee the company’s regenerative agriculture initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational sustainability goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for the integration of regenerative agriculture across key supply chains
  • Develop project proposals, from conception to execution, including deliverables, action plans and budgets
  • Drive the set-up, integration and upscaling of regenerative agriculture and projects within supply chain programmes
  • Define key performance indicators for regenerative agriculture programmes, and track progress across initiatives against targets
  • Be a subject matter expert on agroecology and regenerative agriculture, keeping the company updated on the latest frameworks, practices and industry developments
  • Implement planned activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and selected partners and suppliers
  • Endorse business partner role to support procurement in the deployment of collaborative regenerative initiatives across raw material chains
  • Contribute to building expertise and a culture of sustainable and regenerative agriculture throughout the organization and beyond

 

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • Engineering degree in Agronomy or Master’s degree in related field
  • Postgraduate studies or certifications in the field of sustainability are a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices and agricultural value chain project management, with a track record working in the dairy and arable crop value chains
  • Demonstrated experience working with agricultural value chain players from farmers to manufacturers and managing complex multi-stakeholder projects
  • Experience with sustainability frameworks and certifications and corporate reporting requirements (scope 3, biodiversity, etc.).
  • Engage across a wide spectrum of stakeholders within Givaudan (procurement, sustainability, business and customers) and with external organizations (multi-stakeholder collaborative platforms), and “boots on the ground” engagement when collaborating with suppliers and farmers
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to establish meaningful KPIs and track the impact of projects
  • Experience in an international work environment.
  • Experience influencing and advocating with diverse, multi-stakeholder teams from multiple geographies and cultures
  • Fluency in English and ideally in French ; additional fluency in other European languages (Spanish, German) is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
