HR Manager - Thailand, Philippines, and Myanmar - Your future position?
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Reporting to: HR Director ASEAN
In this role, you will deliver and implement the local HR strategy to fulfil specific demands of a site, geographical area, or function, according to HR strategy and corporate guidelines. You will act as an HR Business Partner for a local business function.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation
• Support development and implementation of human resource strategies and programmes associated with accomplishing business objectives.
• Work in conjunction with management and provide advice as to the best HR management practices to support business objectives.
• Use relevant information, data and reports to recommend policy and process solutions to address risks and opportunities and align with HR strategy and plans.
• Lead, participate in or support the implementation of Corporate and Site initiatives or projects.
HR Management
• Provide human resources generalist support to mid-level managers
• Identify trends/issues that require resolution and involves appropriate resources.
• Support organisational effectiveness function through team building and goal/role clarification.
• Participate in people management activities for defined scope including involvement in performance management and compensation review annual processes.
• Participate in the talent acquisition process, ensuring the quality of personnel hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with law requirements.
• Provide on-site consultation and administration including annual merit and incentive cycles, performance reviews, and benefits en-quiries. Ensure fair and competitive positioning of salaries through internal equity and external market analysis.
HR Processes
• Contribute to defining clear roles and responsibilities and streamlined internal HR processes.
• Promote effective and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide value added reporting enabling managers to make more effective, fact-based and timely decisions.
Employee Relations
• Provide employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organisational de-cisions and career development. Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
• Manage complex Employee Relation issues and ensures key HR business processes are implemented effectively (e.g. performance management, annual pay/bonus reviews, learning and development, talent planning, succession planning) .
• Support and coach HR colleagues and managers to understand and comply with relevant legislation and employee relation policies and practices.
Legal & Compliance
• Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law
• Ensure organisational compliance with employment law and implementation of new legal requirements
• Ensure organisational compliance on matters of occupational health; in collaboration with the occupational health department and local management team provide support on employees medical issues/restrictions
• Inform and advise managers and staff about relevant legislation, employee relations policies and practices.
Your Professional Experience to include
• More than 5 years’ experience in HR, preferably with international organisations.
• Experience supporting employee relations/ people management activities.
• Experience working with mid-level managers.
• University degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Fluent English.
• Computer literacy.
• Analytical Skills.
• Project Manager Skills.
• Knowledge of HR legal matters.
• Change management.
• Deliberate business understanding and commercial sense.
