HR Specialist (12 months contract)

HR Specialist (12 months contract) - Your future position?
Location: Thailand, Bangkok
Reporting to: HR Manager, IndoChina


In collaboration with the HR Director / Manager, support the HR function of a site, geographical area, or function and focus on delivering the company’s HR objectives within HR strategy, corporate guidelines and local policies. Operates with guidance and under limited super-vision.


Core Responsibilities

HR Management Support

  • Contribute to implementing human resource strategies and programmes.
  • In conjunction with and under the general direction of HR Management develop, manage and/or administer the organisation’s compensation and benefit, recruitment, training, organisation development, and employee relations programmes.
  • Provide people management consultation and administration including annual compensation reviews, performance re-views, and benefits enquiries.
  • Provide support across all HR operational processes, ensuring quality, effectiveness and compliance with legislation.
  • Use relevant information, data and reports to recommend policy and process improvements.
  • Participate in or support the implementation of Corporate and Site initiatives or projects.


HR Processes

  • Help develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
  • Contribute to defining clear roles and responsibilities and streamlined internal HR processes.
  • Support effective and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide value added reporting enabling managers to make more effective, fact based and timely decisions.


Employee Relations

  • Provide advice to managers and employees on employee relations matters including performance management, career development, disciplinary actions and organisational decisions.
  • Consults with the business on Employee Relation issues and ensure key HR business processes are implemented effectively (e.g. performance management, annual compensation reviews, learning and development).
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations and Employee Representative groups e.g. Works Councils, Unions and Health & Safety Committees.


Legal & Compliance

  • Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
  • Ensure organisational compliance with employment law and implementation of new legal requirements.
  • Ensure organisational compliance on matters of occupational health; in collaboration with the occupational health department and local management team provide support on employees’ medical issues/restrictions.
  • Inform and advise managers and staff about relevant legislation, employee relations policies and practices.

Academic Background

  • University degree in Human Resources or related field.


Professional Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in HR management, preferably with international organisations.


Technical Skills

  • Local language mandatory, English language very beneficial.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Knowledge of HR legal matters.
