Night Shift Sanitation Supervisor

On this role you will plan and direct plant cleaning and sanitation. Develop programs and procedures to enhance sanitation, GMP performance and safety. Collect data and maintain sanitation records. Clean and sanitize machinery in the plant. Plan, organize, execute and monitor plant sanitation crew, processes and methods. Plan and direct 3rd shift production operations. Responsible for all 3rd shift production, documentation and staffing. 

This is a food safety role.    

 

The Responsibilities are:

  • Promote and follow all plant safety, GMP, department and food safety policies and procedures. Proactively support Company needs and requirements to produce safe, quality food.
  • Plan and execute daily, weekly and periodic plant wide cleaning and sanitation to ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures for sanitation, housekeeping and readiness for the next day’s production.
  • Responsible for day-to-day sanitation activities and long-term department goals.
  • Coordinate, plan and document sanitation activities and schedule workforce.
  • Coordinate, plan and document 3rd shift production activities as scheduled.
  • Responsible for all production documents, accuracy and closing out appropriate materials.
  • Responsible for all production team members, schedule and hours.
  • Review, file and be responsible for all documentation pertaining to the Sanitation department.
  • Update/create Master Sanitation Schedule and department SSOP’s to reflect changes in equipment design, new equipment or changes in cleaning procedures.
  • Communicate and work with Production, QA and Maintenance on any concerns, issues or problems.
  • Train, cross-train, discipline and complete reviews of all department/shift employees. Hold department meetings and conduct or host training on plant wide topics (e.g. cleaning, SSOP training, chemical training, safety, etc.).
  • Performs accident investigations and seeks out corrective measures. Works proactively to prevent accidents and near misses.
  • Periodic and end of shift walk-around inspections to verify the completion of work and when necessary, pitch in and perform work assignments to ensure completion of the nightly work.
  • Responsible for and order sanitation supplies and equipment; monitor sanitation equipment.
  • Track absenteeism and time keeping via the HR/Payroll Manager.
  • If an event took place involving a food safety issue, this position will stop production or sanitation process immediately and contact the QA Manager or Director of Production

 

 

You have 

  • 5 years of Sanitation and production supervisory experience.
