The Associate Creator, reporting to the Technical Manager, will provide support by controlling and coordinating all activities in the Distribution Department, being the principle link between the Distribution Department and various levels and areas of site production.
 
Core Responsibilities
•    Expert ability to formulate new product creations, or modify existing products to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology.
•    Prepare samples as requested for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc.
•    Tests new products, and develops specific processing methods in laboratory and or Pilot Plant.  
•    Utilizes scientific methods to develop knowledge that creates business opportunities that support the company's strategic objectives.
•    Responsible for oversight of new products through the commercialization process within the organization.
•    Sources new ingredients to meet demands of new product formulations.
•    Work with suppliers to deliver quality products.
•    Accountable for overall documentation and communication of new product creation.
•    Perform basic economic evaluations on ingredients, ingredient suppliers, and product formulations.
•    Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment in accordance with EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.

Your professional profile requires:

•   Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology.
•    +2 years of experience in a food applications lab, production or related area.
•    Demonstrates excellent tasting skills and is able to consistently describe the flavour profile of a product.
•    Shows level of understanding of some ingredients and formulas or other technical processes to learn the science behind formulations.
