Human Resources Generalist - Manufacturing – Bethlehem, PA
Givaudan Flavors is seeking our next team member in Human Resources for our Bethlehem, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. We have an immediate need for a dedicated human resources generalist to provide high quality innovative human resources services to a site of 140 employees and growing.
The HR generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in our Bethlehem facility. The position serves as a trusted partner to management and employees. What Success Looks Like:
- Provides employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including hiring, performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development. Provides interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
- Maintains effective employee relations practices.
- Manages time and attendance for the location ensuring employees are paid timely and
- Ensures the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with legislated requirements, such as EEO and ADA. Ensures proper talent pool is in place for all levels of the organization and assimilates new employees into the organization.
- Promote effective and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide value added reporting enabling managers to make more effective, fact-based and timely decisions.
- Implements programs in support of Givaudan’s culture of supervisor customer experience, continuous improvement and safety.
- Provides on-site compensation and benefit consultation and administration including annual merit and incentive cycles, performance appraisals, and benefits inquiries. Ensures fair and competitive positioning of salaries through internal equity and external market analysis with Compensation COE.
- Manages the Worker’s Compensation site program, as well as non occupational illness/injury Short Term Disability, FMLA and LTD programs. This in partnership with corporate HR and the benefits department where applicable.
Success Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent understanding of HR systems
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented and works with a sense of urgency
- Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels throughout the organization
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
