EHS Manager - Your future position?

 

As the EHS Manager , you will oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions to ensure compliance with Givaudan policies and regulations, while managing risks and driving cultural change to minimize incidents, besides optimizing the EHS organization to add value and promote a strong EHS culture across the site. You will be reporting to the

Head of Operations while based in Binh Duong, Vietnam.

 

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

  • Provide support and advice to site management on all EHS aspects, coaching line managers to ensure EHS is a line responsibility.

  • Develop and implement an EHS vision aligned with company strategy, considering global initiatives and local legislation.

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and manage all related documentation.

  • Conduct and oversee EHS training for new and existing employees and contractors.

  • Implement behavior-based safety programs and ensure strict adherence to safety and health protocols.

  • Maintain effective emergency planning and response.

  • Complete and submit regulatory reports accurately.

  • Ensure thorough KPI reporting and initiate actions to meet targets.

  • Track and analyze safety audits, incidents, and near-miss reports, presenting findings to management.

  • Lead the employee safety committee to enhance site safety and address identified issues.

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities.

  • Maintain good relationships with external stakeholders, including authorities and communities.

  • Act as the primary contact for Federal, State, and local EHS regulatory agencies.

  • Coordinate with other departments such as Regulatory, IT, and the regional Management Team.

Your professional profile includes:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience within EHS, including EHS plant experience.

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field.

  • Industry background from food-related or chemical industries.

  • Relevant country-specific EHS qualifications/certifications are advantageous.

  • Familiarity in conducting Gemba walks and shopfloor EHS improvements is crucial.

  • Exposure to technical areas in Health and Safety Management such as Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control, Audits, and Emergency Management.

  • Knowledge in Process Safety and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Possess a strong sense of resilience, independence, and maturity.

  • Has a strategic mindset and approach.

  • Excellent and effective communication skills while being influential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Fluency in English and local language essential.

  • Able to work in Binh Duong.
