Production Manager, Your future position?

As a Production Manager, Coordinate one or more manufacturing processes ensuring that finished products are manufactured, within quality standards and cost objectives for smooth delivery to customers. Develop a high performance culture within the Production team. Full accountability for ensuring Safety, Service, Quality and Cost requirements are met for the Production team. Responsible for developing a motivated and agile team through employee engagement and collaboration.

Objectives:

• Coordinate one or more manufacturing processes ensuring that finished products are manufactured, within quality standards and cost objectives for smooth delivery to customers.
• Develop a high performance culture within the Production team.
• Full accountability for ensuring Safety, Service, Quality and Cost requirements are met for the Production team. Responsible for developing a motivated and agile team through employee engagement and collaboration.

Main Accountabilities:

• Allocate resources (manpower / equipment) adequately to service customers and minimize costs in all areas under Production.
• Organize and monitor daily/shift operations and housekeeping so that equipment and facilities are kept in good condition to operate with high levels of efficiency and dependability.
• Identify Capex needs, develop the business and collaborate with the engineering team to execute once approved.
• Establish processes, procedures and specifications to ensure efficient and effective compounding and packing methods and in compliance with Givaudan’s quality and safety standards.
• Establish and maintain standard work and processes to ensure consistent standards that meet both prescribed quality and efficiency requirements.
• Ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations.
• Promote Continuous Improvement culture with a strong focus on driving Operations Excellence.
• Recruit, train and retain staff and perform staff performance review and appraisal to achieve operational objectives.
• Identify hidden talents and create develop plans to empower these high potential employees to grow within the team (or across the organization).
• Liase with key stakeholders in Operations, Commercial, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain Management, PSRQA, EH&S, Procurement, Continuous Improvement, ManEx & Engineering.
• Drive KPI's of Safety, Quality, Service Delivery, Department Cost & Headcount.

Education, Background & Skills:

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Supply Chain with minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in a chemical, Flavours & Fragrances, food or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years of progressive experience in people management.
• The position requires to oversee VS01 Binh Duong and TG01  Tien Giang province plants. 
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes with good working knowledge of chemical or food processing and manufacturing system.
• Proficient in English and the local language in both Writing and Speaking skills.
• Performance driven as well as having the ability to drive and lead change and efficiency initiatives.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma and SAP is an advantage.
