Senior Beverages Application Specialist - Your future position?

As a Senior Beverages Application Specialist, you'll participate in flavour application. You'll provide technical expertise to drive operational excellence and improve client delivery systems. This will be done according to our goals and EH&S policies, with a focus on providing support in application in the Beverages segment.

You will report to the Technical Group Leader based in our Bogota site working 4 days at the office and 1 day remote.

You will:

Flavour Application

• Complete daily brief-related tasks including flavour selection, product evaluation, and application development.
• Lead evaluations of flavours in food applications for briefs, research projects, and portfolio evaluations.
• Select flavours for projects according to specified requirements (i.e. customer, regulatory, legislation, cost) and suggest improvements for the most common applications.
• Identify appropriate flavour delivery systems and technologies for customer projects in specific applications

Knowledge sharing and expertise

• Be a technical expert and advisor to marketing, sales, flavour creation, and customers for specific applications.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and technologists

Data maintenance

• Maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles

Environmental Health & Safety

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines

Your profile includes:

• Professional in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology.
• 5+ years of experience in a food applications lab, production, research and development of products, or related area with 3 years of solid experience in the beverages segment
• Understanding of selected food applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customers' food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with many of the flavour reactions/interactions in common food products.
• Project management skills to apply in selected customer projects.
• Experience participating in customer projects including customer visits.
