Swedish Oat Fiber AB is a company owned by Givaudan, a Swiss manufacturer of flavors, fragrances, and cosmetic ingredients. They specialize in producing unique oat products sourced from high-quality Swedish and Finnish oats. Their product range includes bran, flour, and oil, which have several applications in food, beverages, and cosmetics. We have a friendly and open culture with a non-hierarchical leadership style. Are you passionate about managing manufacturing processes and ensuring the smooth delivery of flavor products to customers? If so, we have a great opportunity for you!

As the Operations and Company Manager, you will help manage and plan one or more manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products are manufactured within quality standards and cost goals for smooth delivery to customers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Natural Ingredients Operations Europe, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to our overall success.

In this exciting role you will:

Manufacturing Strategy Implementation:

  • Manage a team with a focus on policy and strategy implementation and control
  • Oversee the execution of tactical and operational plans to meet functional goals based on regional strategy

Manufacturing Management:

  • Control production of flavors/fragrances, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain product functionality and cost efficiency
  • Establish manufacturing and quality control standards and develop budget controls and plans
  • Collaborate with functional or operational area managers to understand product needs and integrate them into existing manufacturing activities
  • Improve programs to achieve main performance goals and reduce costs

People Management:

  • Monitor employee job performance and ensure training and cross-training
  • Administer personnel tasks, including recruiting and selection

Your Professional Profile includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline
  • Of Advantage Master's Degree in a Technical field
  • 7 to 10 years of experience manufacturing operations with a background in supply chain, quality and materials management
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in people management
  • Business fluent in English and Swedish
  • Expertise in world-class manufacturing concepts (LEAN)
  • Expertise in product industrialization and change management
  • Experience with business process/system redesign
  • Experience with financial concepts (e.g., OPEX, CAPEX)
  • Familiarity with ISO, FSCC, Food Safety (HACCP, AIB or equivalent), GHP, and GMP requirements
