Accounts Receivable Accountant

Accounts Receivable Accountant - Your future position?

In this important role, the Accounts Receivable Accountant ensure accurate and efficient adherence to AR operational processes, process incoming payments, secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and coordinate the accounting activities with other related internal departments according to and in alignment with the relevant group policies.

 

In this role you will:

 

Daily operational activities:

  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions related to bank accounts
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related queries from internal and external customers
  • Active follow-up on unallocated payments (customer and suspense accounts)
  • Monitor and report blocked accounting documents
  • Manage non-trade Master Data related requests and billing
  • Investigate and resolve requests and questions from Record to Report, Intercompany, Accounts Payable and local finance teams

 

Month end closing activities:

  • Prepare Bad Debt and BOFC reports for the closing
  • Prepare bank and GL reconciliations  
  • Review and reconcile GLs in alignment with Internal Audit requirements, prepare the supporting documentation
  • Report bank balances
  • Clear the monthly foreign exchange payment runs

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • College or University degree (preferably in related field)
  • 1 – 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Excellent English, any other languages is a plus
  • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Experience in ERP system (SAP/Oracle)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem analysis skills with problem solving focus
  • Team player
  • Customer focus, empathy
