Business Reporting Analyst - Your future role?

As a Business Reporting Analyst in Budapest, you will provide controlling and reporting services within the Reporting Center to the Finance and Controlling organization globally. Ensure service execution is in accordance to agreed service levels and within laws and regulations.

You will report to the Reporting Center Manager.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

Controlling and Reporting

  • Collaborate with Finance and Controlling to support their daily operations
  • Support Controller in all areas of performance management
  • Prepare systems (e.g. open reporting occasion), load data, check data quality and accuracy
  • Ensure master data (e.g. customer, products, segments) is maintained and updated for upcoming reporting cycle
  • Populate standard reports and analysis within agreed Service level agreement, ensure data quality and completeness before sending to the respective Finance organization
  • Perform data adjustments within the reporting application and manage the process
  • In case of major data deviations, escalate to management and suggest solution (root-cause or manual data adjustment), if needed issue change request to IT and follow up on resolution
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting upon request
  • Develop dashboards in Tableau platform or excel (can write advanced macros)

 

Report implementation and change

  • Document and maintain report requirements in specific documents, e.g. detail designs (layout and technical information), report inventory, reporting calendar, and Measurement dictionary
  • Technical design reports (layout, link to data sources, Measurement calculation) and queries
  • Check data availability and change requirements to data model
  • Perform testing and report issues
  • Train business counterpart and Center teams in reporting application usage, process execution and functionalities
  • Provide user support for reporting application and guide issue resolution

 

Continuous improvement and innovation

  • Ensure harmonization and agreement within the Reporting Center
  • Develop dashboards in Tableau or macro-Excel
  • Participate in IT project to enhance reporting center capability
  • Ensure knowledge transfer objectives are met
  • Prepare and update work instructions and process manuals

 

You have:

  • Diploma: Business Administration, Finance or technical degree (college or university)  or information technology
  • Languages: good English in writing and communication,
  • Professional experience: minimum 3 years in Controlling, reporting tools experience preferred, dashboard development knowledge
  • Skills: Basic to Intermediate VBA Macro some experience with reporting applications (BO WebI, BO Analysis, BeX query designer, dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), or basic knowledge of SAP BW Hana
  • Functional certifications: Understanding of legal regulations, corporate policies and work instruction; Compliance with Health and Safety at work Act and fire and work protection regulations, aware of management regulations and other directives and act accordingly
