Business Reporting Developer Intern - Your future position?

As a Business Reporting Developer Intern in our Budapest office, you will provide controlling and reporting services within the Reporting Center to the Finance and Controlling organization globally. You will ensure service execution is in accordance to agreed service levels and within laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include reporting dashboard development and subsequent reporting maintenance. You will be partnering with the functional area to build a new suite of dashboards to enable a data-driven approach to business partnering, and to develop an enhanced set of KPIs to support the execution of our Strategy.

Main responsibilities:

Controlling and Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Prepare systems, load data, check data quality and accuracy, ensure necessary master data is maintained and updated for upcoming reporting cycle
• Populate reports and analyses within the agreed SLA, perform data adjustments within the reporting application, ensure data quality and completeness before sending to the respective Controlling organization
• In case of major data deviations, escalate to management and suggest a solution (root-cause or manual data adjustment)
• Provide business support on the agreed level, perform ad-hoc reporting upon request
• Maintain and develop dashboards to meet customer needs using business intelligence tools, Tableau platform or macro-Excel on the agreed level
• Prepare data sets and work with systems and databases, streamline and automate dashboard refreshes
• Be involved in gathering and translating customer requirements using Design Thinking and Agile approaches (User stories, iterative development, pilots)

Report implementation and change

• Document and maintain report requirements in specific documents, e.g. detail designs (layout and technical information), report inventory, reporting calendar, and KPI dictionary
• Technical design reports (layout, link to data sources, KPI calculation) and queries, check data availability and change requirements to data model
• Perform testing and report issues
• Provide user support for reporting applications and drive issue resolution
  

Continuous improvement and innovation

• Drive and initiative improvement projects (system, process, content, new technology or governance), support harmonization and alignment within the Reporting Center
• Participate in IT project to enhance reporting center capability
• Prepare and update work instructions and process manuals
• Explore new technologies, develop new solutions

You have:

• Ongoing studies in a Hungarian university in fields related to business, information technology or science 

• Fluent English level

• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, preferably some experience with reporting applications (BO WebI, BO Analysis, BeX query designer)

• Basic knowledge of SAP BW Hana
• Basic knowledge of VBA macro would be beneficial
• Proven experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools would be beneficial
