Controlling-Reporting Accountant - Your future role?

As a Controlling-Reporting Accountant in Budapest, you will to provide controlling & reporting services to ensure and deliver the required services to all internal and external customers according to agreed service levels and within laws and regulations.

You will report to the Controlling-Reporting Manager.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

Business Partnering

  • Build constructive and effective relationships with the business and partners
  • Take over ownership to find solutions for encountered issues
  • Collaborate with local Finance and Controlling to support their daily operations

 

Controlling and Reporting Processes

  • Support Controller in performance management of site operations
  • Prepare site business reports and perform the next level of analysis to provide to local Controllers
  • Assist in the annual budget process for the site
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting upon request and inform activities with GSO Controlling
  • Analyse Controlling/Reporting activities make proposals to improve and standardize the processes

 

Product Costing and Production Cost Accounting

  • Maintain Product Cost Master Data and workflow items in SAP, provide Standard Cost Calculation (for running products and new products)
  • Create Actual Cost run and perform revaluation of Consumption
  • Record Production Cost and Cost of Good Sold, including period-end closing and variance analysis

 

Finance processes

  • Inventory control and valuation (perform inventory closing, variance, WIP calculation, provision)
  • Book journal entries, clear GL accounts, take an active part and ensure the accurate completion of the month/year-end closing activities, including accruals, and revaluation; Provide data for auditors
  • Complete reporting (month-end close related - and ad hoc) and reconcile Balance sheet accounts
  • Work with all partners involved in the Transfer Pricing process
  • Prepare monthly Goal reports and ensure that the targets are met
  • Understand and ensure compliance with the relevant Policies

 

Migration and Improvement

  • Ensure knowledge transfer objectives are met
  • Prepare and update work instructions, process manual
  • Contribute to and manage end-to-end process improvements
  • Participate in and coordinate projects
  • Provide support and train junior team members and ensure knowledge transfer

 

You have:

  • Finance degree (college or university and Chartered accountant, Tax advisor)
  • Good English in writing and communication, second (local) language
  • 3-5 years in any GL Accounting / Controlling / Reporting
  • SAP and IFRS knowledge
  • Willingness to travel (2 to 6 weeks periods)
  • Understanding of legal regulations, corporate policies, and work instruction
  • Compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and Fire and work protection regulations
  • Aware of management regulations and other directives and act accordingly
