GBS Financial Accountant - small sites

About the Role


In your role, you will be the Finance contact of local sales entities with Austria being the main site. You will manage the Accounting (following IFRS and Givaudan Group standard) of the sites that do not have a local finance representative. You will need to work with the local third-party supplier who is the provider of the payroll-related journals. The local supplier requires in addition to that the relevant IFRS data posting set from you, that enables the supplier to perform Statutory adjustments for local accounting and reporting purposes. Local Tax related matters will be managed by the third-party supplier whilst group reporting Tax entries have to be performed by you. 

You will be based in Budapest and will report to Global Solution Expert Accounting.


You Will:


  • Process invoices: book following IFRS and create payment entries in the online Bank platform
  • Book required transactions in SAP following IFRS requirements, including IFRS 16, Building Accruals and Provisions, Currency revaluation, Cash advances, Service Fee (and AR), Mark up, CAPEX related transactions, Book payroll data received from 3rd party
  • Perform Month-End Closing and Reporting following IFRS - in SAP and BOFC (Group Consolidation System)
  • Entity Management Reporting
  • Submit IFRS data to 3rd party supplier enabling Statutory adjustment for local purposes


You Have:


  • Min 3+ years IFRS accounting experience
  • SAP and BOFC experience
  • You love to learn new things and can always find motivation in your daily work.
  • You have gained experience managing innovation by process improvement tasks
  • You learned how to work in a team environment, sharing knowledge and responsibilities.
  • You work well in a collaborative environment and have a can-do- attitude.
  • Fluency in English and conversational level German knowledge
