As HR Compliance Specialist you will work on the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Givaudan's Global Data Retention Strategy to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and best practices. The HR Compliance Manager is an individual contributor role that delivers results with partnership with other HR functions (e.g. HRBPs, Payroll) and other Organizations (e.g. Data Protection Office, IT).

 

You will be based in Budapest, Hungary and reporting to the Head of Functional Delivery HR.

 

You will:

  • Set up and maintain data retention schedules with the active involvement of the retention project team (Data Protection Office, IT, HR)
  • Maintain the data retention tool, update roles, policies
  • Measure and execute compliance with relevant legislation, evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
  • Collaborate with local and global HR teams to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
  • Periodically report to management on status, risks and proposed improvements
  • Collaborate with HR process owners to review the maintenance of required internal control practices
  • Ensure that process maps, and documentation remain current and that process changes are effectively managed from a control perspective

 

You?

  • Solid knowledge of HR processes and operations
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or Compliance
  • Understanding local, Hungarian constraints due to e.g. regulations, laws
  • Strong interest in legal matters (labour law, data protection) especially data retention related challenges
  • Fluent in English
