IT Applications Support Analyst

IT Applications Support Analyst - Your future position?

 As an integral member of the Commercial Applications team under the Global Applications Services Organization for both Divisions: Flavours and Fragrances, you role is to provide level 2 Commercial support to Givaudan users around the globe, by enabling users satisfaction with swift solutions to the application issues and by maintaining high availability of applications.

  • Encompass "pre-sales" applications relating to Creation, Development, Evaluation, Brief Management and Senso-ry, and bring a functional and technical support with minor coding. No major development is involved in this role, 
  • Resolve commercial application incidents and fulfil Service Requests raised by users globally,
  • Lead corrective change implementation including design, build, deployment, testing, training and user acceptance globally, 
  • Ensure timely ticket resolution of Incidents and Service Requests according to SLA and ensure proper communi-cation to users on ticket resolution and root cause ; ensure the global ticketing tool is promptly and correctly up-dated with activities, resolution and user feedback for effective and efficient tracking,
  • Escalate any issues or conflicts to Applications Services Manager and Commercial Support team,
  • Work closely with other IT teams to help business owners and global users  realize full potential of the Commercial applications.

Your professional profile includes :


  • University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, and at least 1 to 2 years' experience in Applications Support in an international environment.
  • ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to diagnose system issues based on available system documentation such as Use Cases and Technical designs.
  • Ability to provide technical specifications to the development team and able to fulfil unit test (regression test as required) on the delivered code for quality. 
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Project management experience is a plus. 
  • Good analytical, written, presentation and communication skills.


Technical Knowledge: 

  • Hands on Oracle, SQL programming and troubleshooting expertise.
  • J2EE (and Websphere) hands on troubleshooting experience.
  • Datastage/Webmethod understanding.
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC is an added advantage.
