Logistics Lead EDC - Your future position? 

As a Logistics Lead EDC you will manage daily E2E operations and execute projects in the context of the European Distribution Center (EDC). You will report directly to the Regional WH Manager Europe.

You can be based in Budapest, Dortmund or Naarden.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

Execution

  • Lead Logistics administration and its daily operational activities

  • Monitor Essers ’ daily E2E operations in the EDC

  • Manage interface activities to the regional PLA team

  • Manage escalation in the E2E scenarios for logistics related issues

  • Improve the standard set of KPIs (Safety, Quality, Service, Lean and Costs) in the EDC

  • Support the WH footprint reduction in Europe therefore execution of transfer projects to the EDC

  • Identify, design and implement additional improvement actions and standards

  • Work in a structured way (root cause analyses, PDCA) with main stakeholders (Sites Shipping Teams, Regional Operational Transport Manager, Warehousing Teams, Road Hub, GBS, LSP, Controlling) to improve the standard set of KPIs

  • Monitor and analyze monthly the standard set of KPIs; implement and monitor related action plans (continuous improvement)

  • Manage documents and standards

  • Create documents and standards (Safety, HACCP, Working Instructions, SOPs/OPLs) and manage Skill Matrix and training documentation

  • Ensure corporate governance principles: ensuring integrity, quality and compliance

  • Collaborate with Regional Logistics team

Project management

  • Plan smaller projects within the area of the EDC: analysis, estimation and optimization of flows, processes and costs

  • Controlling and execution: organisation and coordination of the performance of the project from start to finish

  • Support the WH footprint reduction in Europe therefore execution of transfer projects to the EDC

  • Manage the change (communication and training)

People management

  • Lead Logistics administration

  • Monitor Essers WH operations

  • First contact for escalation-related issues

     

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management

  • Operations Management or comparable

  • Fluency in English

  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain with background in Logistics - meaning DIS and SHI/TRA within SAP

  • Solid knowledge of warehousing and logistics network

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain function and processes

  • Strong affinity to systems (SAP, XLS)

  • Strong command in project and change management

  • Experience with large ERP system(s)

  • Six Sigma/ Lean Green Belt certificate preferred

  • Continuous Improvement mindset
