Raw Material Operational Senior Buyer - Your future position?

As a Raw Material Operational Senior Buyer, you will have a centralized role close to the supply planning capability, focused on assigned vendors or categories, accountable and responsible for the entire Requisition & Fulfillment (R&F) processing. You will manage raw material (RM) availability and plant or region-specific issue resolution to ensure security of supply.

 

This position is based in Budapest, and you will report to the Raw Material R&F Team Lead.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • PO Management: You will release POs to 3rd party suppliers according to sourcing and fulfillment instructions defined by the global Category Managers and within quality and time constraints. You will track and follow up PO deliveries to ensure security of supply, manage import licenses and end-use certificates for concerned raw materials. You will run consignment stock consumption reports, associated settlements, and coordinate physical stock reconciliation with suppliers.

 

  • Issue Resolution: You will manage Raw Material availability issue resolution with plant Raw Material planners, coordinate delivery and quality non conformities in relation with respective plant partners. You will support investigation of root cause analysis on invoice non conformities, support the follow-up on planning, quality and AP escalations ensuring appropriate commercial relations with the supply base.

 

  • Supplier Management: You will manage suppliers and their On Time In FULL (OTIF) performance, resolve major suppliers' issues and complaints. You will implement improvement action plans discussed/agreed with Vendor Performance Analyst and Category Managers.

 

  • You will establish a continuous improvement mindset, provide support for junior colleagues and build good relationships with other teams. You will communicate with internal and external partners by phone or email, comply with service levels, procedures and policies.

 

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • College or University degree

  • Fluency in English and local language

  • Another language (French, German, Spanish, Dutch) is a plus

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement R&F RM (SSC/GBS experience is a plus)

  • Experience in knowledge transfer activity

  • Good ethics and values, costumer focus

  • Expert knowledge of relevant SAP modules (MM, MRP) and Procurement tools, advanced knowledge of MS office

  • Willingness to travel (2-6 weeks periods) during knowledge transfer
