Raw Material Senior Planner - Budapest (Hungary) - Your future position?
Overall mission:
Ensure raw material and packaging material availability in the right quantity, quality and time. You will be responsible for monitoring of items in the SLOB category and reducing discards in every category, managing master data, escalating if a change is risking RM availability or inventory target. Partner with the relevant GBS functions.
You will be based in Budapest, and the Head of Supply will receive your report.
You will:
- Lead diverse projects and guide projects from a planning perspective
- Detailed understanding of all processes, and activities in the area of raw materials planning
- Use/create Indicators for performance monitoring
- Perform daily business with the relevant MRP controllers (including MRP management, complete order tracking process, constraint and exception management)
- Resolve all issues within their your responsibilities. If the issue cannot be resolved, take the necessary steps to obtain support or escalates to resolve the issue
- Ensure a constant flow of information between the planning teams, including those across locations. This flow should also extend to the interfaces with other departments. These include PUR, QC, QM&I, DIS, OTC, and RDM. Additionally, it should extend to external parties, like freight forwarders, if necessary
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels and material master data (parameters) in your responsibilities in cooperation with regional procurement planning and the demand-planning team. Identify slow/non-movers or other vulnerable materials and take the necessary measures to avoid or minimize write-offs/discards. Use, for example, the SAP SLOB tool to track the measures
- Follow relevant standard guidelines (e.g., STO policy, global best practices - site and supply planning, SOPs and OPLs, ISO) that are published and communicated. Addresses areas rules/procedures are lacking and assists with resolution or implementation.
- Help achieve departmental goals and Indicators
- Support continuous improvement processes within the department, but also across interfaces, along the value stream to improve overall performance in safety, quality, service, and costs. The improvement process follows the LEAN philosophy
- Accomplish, coordinates, and track supplier complaints in your responsibilities according to defined rules
- Coordinate all actions related to outgoing STOs for relevant MRP contracts
- Take capacity constraints (e.g., load balancing of goods receipts) into account in daily business
- Complete relevant WF items and the setup or adjustment of parameters in MM02 (e.g., new product localization processes)
- Help with similar planning activities
- Represent the planning team's responsibilities in special meetings or projects
- First contact for the raw material planners with regard to processes, questions, training
You:
- College / University Degree
- 3+ years of planning and inventory management experience
- SAP knowledge
- Fluency in English, German or Dutch are advantageous
