OPFC Planning Designer

As a Planning Designer with Givaudan,  You will report directly to the Planning Functional Lead of Operations/Procurement/Finance/Compliance Competency Centre, you will be the subject matter expert in enhancing/supporting SAP system in the Planning domain for projects with a scope specific to Planning or for projects of a broader scope.


*Flexible location EAME Region (France, Argenteuil or Hungary, Budapest)


  • Design: You will design new global, regional and local solutions, configure system(s), test the applications and their interfaces and deploy new solutions. You will provide solution proposals based on business requirements in the Planning area (demand planning, supply/distribution planning, raw material planning, production/site planning).


  • Coordinate: You will coordinate and interact with project team and service provider during analysis and implementation of functional enhancements as well as the resolution of defects during testing. You will conduct requirements gathering and analysis with key users and system designers locally or in other locations/regions that lead to the delivery of the high-level specifications.


  • Support: You will support the applications during all project phases, also supporting the SAP productive applications by validating changes managed by Application Services. You will ensure completeness of documentation (process flows, procedures, and operations documents, Functional Designs) related to newly developed solutions.

Your professional profile includes:


  • At least 3 to 5 years' in a similar capacity as Functional/Application Designer, with at least 2 full implementation cycle of global IT/SAP projects implementing SAP Planning solutions.  
  • Preferably with Degree in Engineering or IT
  • Experience configuring and implementing SAP IBP Modules required
  • Business mapping and blueprinting experience implementing one or more SAP systems required.
  • Knowledge of process analysis and design required.
  • Experience in architecting inbound/outbound interfaces between SAP and other systems is required.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be creative and a self-starter. Must be an independent analytical thinker with high attention to detail
  • Must have successful experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, and adapting to a changing environment.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English, an additional language will be a plus
  • Willing to travel (20% per year)
  • SAP MM (Material Management) and SAP Master data are preferred
