As our next Regional Quality Manager, reporting to our Head of Regional Operations, Americas, you will lead the implementation of the Global Quality Management Strategy (QA & QC) and nurture our quality culture and associated behaviors in the region.  Improve both agreement between sites and adherence to quality requirements.  Together with the responsible process owners, improve process controls to reduce variation, assure product quality, increase process efficiency and guarantee customer satisfaction.

 

This position is located in Mt. Olive, NJ.

 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:

 

Strategy and execution

  • As part of the GQM, contribute to the definition of Global Quality policy, process and requirements.
  • Represent QA/QC in Regional OPMC, integrate Quality strategy in projects/plans to meet Quality goals.
  • Provide feedback, escalate QA & QC related issues for resolution with Global QM / related functions
  • Monitor Quality KPI’s, compliance to requirements and the effectiveness of the QMS at Site and Regional levels.
  • Report / make visible performance to both Regional OPMC and GQM

Functional management (QA)

  • Line Manager of Site QA Managers
  • Provide interpretation, advice and training about Quality requirements.
  • With Site QA/process owners, lead the implementation of quality requirements, processes and methods
  • Ensure verification processes such as internal audits and validation trials are scheduled, performed and effective
  • Analyze the results of quality audits (internal, external, and corporate), plan preventative action at the regional level.
  • Provide QA support to process owners in functions that are improving product quality / customer satisfaction
  • Monitor the effectiveness of pre-requisite QA programs, perform internal audits to verify the effectiveness of the QMS
  • Approve customer quality agreements at Site and Regional level to ensure understanding of Global guidelines
  • Keep current with applicable quality related standards and regulations in the region
  • Maintain at Site and Regional Level a 5-year CAPEX plan relating to quality

 

Functional management (QC)

  • Functional Manager of Site QC Managers
  • Provide interpretation, advice and training concerning Quality strategy & requirements.
  • With Site QC/process owners, help implement quality requirements, processes and methods
  • Verify that the QC function is compliant with internal QC requirements, and that support performance is improving product quality / customer satisfaction / compliance.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of pre-requisite QC programs, support or advice on improvements required.
  • Maintain at Site and Regional Level a 5-year CAPEX plan relating to quality control

People Management

  • Lead annual HR processes within the regional QA organization, participate in the same for QC Managers and validate results with Site & Regional Operations Manager and GQM.
  • Work with Regional / Site Ops Manager, GQM and HR Business Partner(s) to identify talent.
  • Plan and lead the development of Regional QA talents within the region.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or a related discipline.
  • Overall work experience of 15 + years in Quality Management in manufacturing or plant operations.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in people management
  • Experience leading change, coaching and influencing stakeholders (eg ADKAR Trained)
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems, GQM, Quality Related Risk Assessments & MoC
  • Green Belt
