Givaudan Fragrances is looking for an energetic and knowledgeable Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our Mt. Olive, NJ manufacturing facility. As our EH&S Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining EH&S programs in accordance with all regulatory compliance requirements in our North American Fragrance Sites.  

You Will:

• Drive Efficiencies and Excellence: Provide EH&S program/implementation assistance with setting and executing safety standards. Coordinate and maintain environmental regulatory permits and programs including inspections and submittals for air, water & waste.  Will also be responsible for sustainability initiatives (tracking and reporting), and with EH&S training. 

• Manage Data Integrity: Coordinate EH&S data management requirements for environmental reporting, annual EH&S reports, EH&S KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), regulatory compliance assessment & audit program follow-up. Maintain and coordinate Process Safety Management (PSM) policies, processes and procedures. 

• Utilize the very best of you: EH&S expert for the site and member of Emergency Response Team.  Coordinate risk assessments and provide tangible solutions to minimize risks.

Your professional profile includes:

• A BS in chemistry, engineering, EHS or other related field is required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience developing and managing EHS programs in a manufacturing, chemical or consumer products environment required.
• Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and environmental permitting/reporting
• Designation as a Certified Safety Specialist (CSP) is preferred. Givaudan will encourage and support the pursuit of the CSP designation.
• Ability to interpret the intent of various regulations and recommend practical solutions
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local OSHA regulations, safety codes and environmental.
• Experience working in an OSHA PSM processing facility
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
