Overall Mission

Reporting to our Regional Supply Chain Head, you will manage and drive the intricacies of overseeing transportation operations across diverse regions and multiple sites, addressing logistical complexities as well as shaping the transportation and warehousing strategies while driving operational excellence within our supply chain network.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Define and lead transport & warehouse execution of strategy in Americas F&B to streamline operations with safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain
  • Functionally lead and help to develop transportation teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation networks, streamline routes, and enhance overall logistics efficiency across all the sites in the region
  • Drive compliance with transportation regulations, industry standards and company policies, ensuring the highest levels of safety and regulatory adherence.
  • Implement data-driven transportation solutions, leveraging technology and innovation to optimize shipment utilization and improve operational performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and challenges in transportation operations, ensuring continuity of supply
  • Oversee crisis management and emergency response protocols, ensuring preparedness and effective mitigation of transportation-related incidents
  • Lead the deployment of Global Transport initiatives at regional and site levels to optimize the balance of cost and quality of customer services
  • Govern the transport lead time's end to end, reflect market adjustments and update leadtimes dynamically in the SAP system
  • Develop effective business partnerships and manage vendor performance in close collaboration with Global Transport Mgmt., Global Warehouse Mgmt, IM&S, Regional Solution Experts and local transport/warehousing teams
  • Identity Sustainability and ESG opportunities and inject solutions accordingly

 

Education / Primary Qualification:

  • Preferably master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline
  • Fluency in English (mandatory)
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Logistics/Transportation management, proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements in a supply chain environment.
  • Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and empower transportation teams
  • Problem-solving abilities with a keen focus on operational excellence
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-centric approach

 

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape.
  • Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.
  • Knowledge on Customs & Trade Affairs
  • Basic knowledge of production process.
  • CI mind-set
