As our next Manufacturing As our next Manufacturing Process Excellence Manager, directly supporting the Head of Chicago Operations, you will commercialize new flavor innovation products and improve processes for both newly introduced and mature products. You will also lead the Process Technology team to cultivate the growth of technical skills at the site to deliver exceptional flavors to our valued customers.

 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the Process Excellence Team for a dynamic manufacturing facility
  • Manage New Product Industrialization:
    • Champion safety and quality by design through First Time Make due diligence and review for manufacturing viability
    • Monitor scale-up and first-time orders and improve legacy business formulation to enable manufacturing excellence and superior customer experience
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in collaboration with our technical and creative partners.
  • Manage Technical Problem Solving
    • Take ownership for formula and process issues that require technical intervention
    • Identify manufacturing and process best practices in partnership with the local teams
    • Guide process and formula improvements that will affect site performance in key KPIs
    • Encourage collaboration and new ideas to empower cross-functional teams so they achieve the best outcomes
  • Guide Technical Process Improvement
    • Participate in the design, selection, installation, and qualification of new equipment and processes
    • Identify scope and process requirements for technical process improvement projects
    • Lead medium-size teams composed of internal and vendor resources in the execution of multiple, complex programs and projects.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field
  • 5–10 years of related experience with 3 years in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of industrialization and management processes such as product life cycle, specification management, non-conformity handling, and audit change management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (such as FSSC, AIB, ISO, GMP, GHP, and HACCP)
  • Project leadership and facilitation skills are a must, as is change leadership.
  • Experience working with and influencing diverse workforces, including technical teams, manufacturing groups and senior leadership.
