As our next Planning Manager, reporting to our Head of Supply for North America, you will lead the production planning team in creating, developing and maintaining the production plan in the most efficient way, following the regional planning organization targets on safety, service, cost and quality. Develop an overall plan for capacity management in the near and long term. Minimize write-offs, increase service and increase cost efficiency for the site. Align with other planning managers on best practices, ways of working and network supply planning. Develop a planning team strategy and build people development, performance evaluation and personal targets.

 

This position is located in Carol Stream, IL or Cincinnati, OH.

 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Key results areas:
  • Plan/Schedule that is 100% executable and follows productivity targets to meet production budget
  • Inventory levels meet company targets
  • Write-off levels meeting budget
  • Service to customers meeting all set targets
  • Capacity Planning and Management
  • Develop the planning team into a high performing work team, including performance evaluation, people development and leadership succession. Develop functional experts and future leaders.
  • Monitor critical supply constraints & escalate supply issues
  • SPOC for 1 production site
  • Support product life cycle management
  • Participate in Site Supply Review
  • Work in close collaboration with production, scheduling, quality, customer care, supply planning, raw material planning, network supply planning, other planning streams and systems, and GBS to ensure service level to customers, efficient operations and inventory
  • Contribute to performance review meetings to monitor progress
  • Contribute to site and regional targets with the Site Directors and Regional Planning manager
  • Lead initiatives for more efficiency and reduced cost in production through efficient planning, batch size and cycle time optimization
  • Build regional and site initiatives on write-off reduction
  • Review slow-moving and obsolete inventory and manage reserve projections
  • Follow Givaudan procedures, guidelines and best practices in relevant areas, including Safety; address and implement where missing
  • Support development of training programs, manuals and methods of implementation to assure stable and best practice execution of planning
  • Build Project Management
  • Audit material lead times

 

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge in planning. Preferably has experience with demand, supply and production.
  • Show flexibility when solving issues.
  • Project management skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Team development and coaching skills
  • Working knowledge BI, BO, MS, Google and SAP
  • Language Skills: English and other languages

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Related Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5 years in a Supply Chain role
  • Minimum 3 years Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Management, Capacity Analysis, and Supply Chain best Practices
  • Travel required: 50% 

Additional Experience

  • Knowledge of APICS
  • Experience in the flavor, ingredient or fragrance industry
  • 6 sigma / lean Yellow or Green Belt
