Join us! As our next Quality Systems Supervisor, reporting to the  Head of Quality, you will lead the local Quality Systems Team and Manage Talent. Oversee local Quality and Food Safety programs aligned with global policy, and implement Quality and Food Safety Programs. This position is located in Carol Stream, IL

 

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

 

Lead the local Quality Systems Team and Manage Talent

  • Ensure responsibilities are aligned with staffing

  • Set and monitor targets, provide direction where needed

  • Do regular performance reviews and mentoring with direct reports

     

Manage local Quality and Food Safety programs aligned with global policy

  • Help maintain the local quality/food safety documentation

  • Maintain the local quality, food safety and food defense programs along with the specific

    responsibilities for programs such as halal, kosher and organic.

  • Lead Internal audits and monthly food safety inspections

  • Lead the execution of internal and customer-driven quality and food safety system

    requirements

  • Provide mentoring on quality and food safety to all staff

  • Manage food safety non-conformances, including participation and review of the root-causes, trend analysis and action follow-up

  • Lead site Food Safety Team

     

Implement Quality and Food Safety Programs aligned with global policies

  • Implement globally agreed quality and food safety system requirements from customers

  • Implement new or updated global/regional quality and food safety system policies

  • Manage customer audits and resulting improvement plans

  • Manage regulatory audits and resulting improvement plans

  • Manage certification/program audits and resulting improvement plans

  • Perform and report on vendor audits

  • Participate , guide projects for quality and food safety improvements at the site

     

Key KPIs

  • Quality and Food Safety Systems Compliance (Certifications/FSSV score)

  • Customer Complaint rate/Internal non-conformance rate

  • Collate monthly KPI’s, validate and ensure correct publication

  • Chair review meetings to improve and understand performance

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Service or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/ Management/Control

  • 2 years supervisory or managerial experience

  • Background in Quality and Food Safety Systems such as HACCP,  FSSC 22000 (GFSI), FDA requirements(PCQI), FSMA, Food Fraud, Organic, HALAL, Kosher, Food Defense. 

  • Internal auditor experience

  • Proficient in problem solving, and leading improvement project

  • Experience in Data Analysis

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge with such systems as SAP, Databases,  Microsoft Office products
