Sanitation Lead

Plan, organize and oversee the execution of quality and sanitation programs for a specific activity or group of activities and provide assistance for the daily Quality and Food Safety operation and activities within a manufacturing site.

Core Responsibilities
•    Manage Environmental monitoring program as required per global requirements investigating any out of spec notifications while supporting the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
•    Manage Sanitation program (Includes Master sanitation program, chemical ordering, chemical handling training, Chemical Titrations, draft and maintain sanitation procedures and documentation, and review daily sanitation documentation.
•    Perform training: Cleaning, chemical handling, LOTO, GMPs, etc.
•    Supervise the local sanitation team in executing defined Quality and Sanitation programs for the assigned area(s) of activity.
•    Guide the plant during special plant sanitation issues including microbiological and environmental control.
•    Provide sanitary design recommendations for new and existing equipment and modification/installation of existing/new equipment.
•    Escalate issues to top management and communicate non-conformances and information updates to key contacts in Quality, Operations, and Warehouse as needed.
•    Coordinate daily, periodic cleaning schedules, and master sanitation schedules (MSS): Complete required documentation (SAP).
•    Work with the local Quality and Operations management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a talent pipeline for the local sanitation organization.
•    Identify opportunities for improvements in QM/QC/Sanitation and set proactive measures to prevent issues.
•    Operate sanitation equipment (hoses, floor scrubbers, foaming equipment, forklift, motorized pallet jack. Lift approximately50 lbs.
•    Work dynamic shifts if/as needed.

Professional Background
•    Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
•    2+ years of relevant experience within food industry. (Sanitation preferred)
•    Up to 1 year of people management experience.
•    Knowledge of sanitary design, sanitation, and pest management in food processing.
•    Strong SAP background.
