Quality Technician III

Purpose:

Under periodic management, maintain certain prerequisite programs including EMP, glass & hard plastics, sanitation verifications, & Pest Control. Also help maintain HACCP programs and backup Quality Systems Supervisor.

 

 

You will:

  • Take all swabs for EMP (Zone 3&4) Listeria & Salmonella, also air and water testing.
  • Conduct all required internal Pest Control audits/inspections of traps/pheromones
  • Conduct all Glass & Hard Plastic audits in all areas of the plant and maintain monthly inspection sheets and glass & hard plastic inventory.
  • Perform S2 sanitation verifications.
  • Perform daily Category 1 hold area inventory
  • Perform weekly allergen audits and communicate non-compliance to area owners
  • Perform daily Blending and Scheduling checks for allergen program compliance
  • Communicate the status of activities to the Quality Systems Supervisor.
  • Identify opportunity for improvements in PRPs
  • Help maintain, monitor, and improve HACCP programs
  • Maintain work in a hygienic and safe work environment.
  • Provide backup and support to Technicians.

 

Academic Background: 

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline

 

Experience:

  • Overall work experience of 4 or more years with 1 to 2 years in a similar position.
