Reporting to the Head of Quality at our Carol Stream, Illinois manufacturing facility, you will support the production floor, and Quality Control and improvement programs to improve performance, mindset and customer satisfaction at site level. You will be at the heart of why our customers depend on us. By promoting co-creation and collaboration, applying wide-eyed thinking, and showing our commitment to sustainability, we deliver food experiences that consumers love. Quality, and Food Safety is where you come in.

 

  • Operational Success: Support local shop floor quality system and improvement projects. Learn about, and gain an understanding of, our manufacturing technologies and product characteristics (such as liquids, spray drying, powder blending, process flavors, emulsions, separations, and extractions). Maintain and coordinate corrective actions for any food safety incidents (HACCP incidents, missing paperwork, roof leaks). Lead customer and 3rd party audits. Supports and provides training to site personnel.

 

  • Quality Enhancement: Support Quality Control improvement projects (flows, methods, calibration). Support customer complaints and non-conformance management. Provide trouble-shooting of local issues. Take part in quality audits and problem resolution. Lead Food Defense Team meetings (Quarterly for now, should try to increase frequency) Yearly Food Defense plan verifications Maintain Food Defense Plan Yearly Review of Vulnerability Assessment and Mitigation Strategies

 

  • Team Collaboration: Work with other areas of impact such as order fulfillment, brief management, Regulatory and innovation processes. Bring your expertise with Safety and Quality Systems to every conversation. Work with team members on problem resolution and continuous improvement plans. Lead Food Safety Team meetings. Yearly Training of Food Safety Team

 

 

You?

  • Technical or Business Administration bachelor's degree or equivalent education with track record in quality department in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years experience with Project management exposure
  • Experience with processes such as Ingredient life cycle management, Vendor Quality, Customer Quality, Specification and Formula management.
  • Expertise with Food Safety and Quality Systems (such as FSSC, AIB, ISO, GMP, GHP, and HACCP)
  • SAP helpful
