Job duties:

  • Prepare and anticipate job demands.
  • Advanced mastering of all Class “C and B” requirements.
  • Ability to train level b and c technicians in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Ability to and use various styles of tubing/piping for various trades and their proper applications.
  • Design and fabrication tooling from scratch or diagrams.
  • Analyze equipment, determine sound mechanical/electrical repair options, order parts as required, perform rebuilds/repairs and follow-up upon completion/parts arrival.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Electrical trouble shooting up to 480.
  • Rigging, hoisting, and machinery placement.
  • Conduit bending and wiring.
  • Adjust, rebuild, replace or modify machines.
  • Parts fabrication on the engine lathe.
  • Write, complete and verify work orders
  • Welding and cutting using
  • Evaluate, design and test new equipment
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Input, update and modify maintenance program

 

Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • At least 5-8 years’ experience in maintenance.
  • Intermediate understanding of all plant systems and their controls.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English in order to complete documentation.
  • Computer literate to be able to utilize our computerized systems.
  • Capable of operating a forklift.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs and ability to handle up to 400 lbs with use of forklifts or jacks.
  • Mathematical aptitude: Ability to perform electrical and mechanical conversions, numeric estimates and computations for size, speed, feed, dimension, and tolerance.
  • Intermediate plasma and oxy-acetylene torch cutting ability
  • Strong understanding of electric motors, rotation, windings, operation, and all major motor/motor system troubleshooting and testing procedures.
  • Advanced comprehension of electrical and mechanical schematics, shop drawings, vendor manuals, and other technical documents.
  • Requires minimal direction in terms of maintenance functions and troubleshooting pathways.
  • Understands PLC operational concepts including power supplies, controls, cards, system care, interpret basic ladder logic and preventive maintenance.
  • Completion of two year technical school program.
