Warehouse Manager - Flavors Manufacturing

Your future position?

We serve up Flavors! And to do so, we have accomplished people within our operations teams that take pride in their work, and in our company!

 

Reporting to the Site Director, you will lead a team of Warehouse Operators and Material Handlers that operate material handling equipment and performing tasks to include loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, storing, locating, relocating, pre-weighing and stacking materials/products.

 

  • Planning and execution: Plan the workload for your team with focus on load levelling to prevent overtime while ensuring customer service and process quality. Collect and consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan weekly and daily material flows and inform needs regarding material/product stocks to satisfy demand and supply without creating business disruptions. Lead physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring stock rotation, disposal of unused/obsolete materials/products, and maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system.

 

  • Operations management: Review production schedules, customer orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed, prioritize work orders and dispatch these to the team. Oversee the reception of incoming materials, related administrative tasks (batch number recordings, goods receipt issuance, materials labelling) and dispatching and storage. Oversee the preparation of materials/products for shipment to ensure that amount and type of product(s) are matching customer orders. Control that warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company (EHS) guidelines and public safety regulations, e.g. when involving fork lifts, clamp trucks or other power equipment, or manipulation of hazardous materials/products.

 

  • People management: Conduct annual human resources processes for the assigned Warehouse team(s) and validate results. Work with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local capability pipeline for the function. Drive the development and promotion of identified talents within and outside Logistics.

Your Professional Profile includes:

  • Post high school education preferred with 5 or more years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment, or other relevant manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse process flow including understanding of shipping and receiving regulations and protocol.
  • Knowledge of material/product safety/security norms and regulations, and knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.
  • Operate computers - desktop, and hand held for receiving, and real-time inventory updates and customer order shipments. Exposure to SAP a plus
  • GMP - working in a food or food flavor facility with Compounding Management System experience a plus.
  • English/Spanish bilingual a plus
