The role involves leading the implementation of manufacturing excellence initiatives within a medium site or region to embed best practices, reinforce a continuous improvement mindset, and streamline non-value-added activities, while also enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation through comprehensive continuous improvement initiatives and the use of advanced technologies to optimize production processes for maximum productivity and effectiveness. The Site Process Technology Manager acts as the site’s technical reference and as a partner to global teams for the implementation of new technologies and the standardization of best practices.
The mains activities:
- Process Optimization: analyze industrial performance, identify levers for productivity and cost reduction.
- Technology Transfer: Lead the introduction of new products, processes, or lines in coordination with the S&T, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Innovation and Industrialization: Adapt production processes to new technologies developed at the global level.
- Standardization and Compliance: Deploy Givaudan standards in process safety, GMP, and Environmental & Sustainability Practices.
- Technical Support to the Site: Provide on-site technical assistance; participate in troubleshooting and resolution of quality or process deviations.
- Training and Development: Strengthen the skills of local teams in process and production technologies.
- Investment Projects: Contribute to the definition and implementation of process improvement CAPEX projects, evaluating both technical and economic returns.
- Performance and Reporting: Own site process performance metrics, focusing on yield, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring process KPIs and driving associated improvement plans.
- ERP: Manage master data in ERP systems.
- Quality and Compliance: Work with the Quality team to ensure process reproducibility and compliance with customer and regulatory specifications.
