Purpose of the role

• Responsible for preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with legal and statutory requirements, as well as Givaudan accounting and reporting policies and procedures
• Responsible for preparation and accuracy of tax declaration to ensure accurate and timely submission
• Reporting to Finance Manager

Core Responsibilities

Financial accounting

• Responsible for month-end accounting and group reporting process
• Preparation and annual filing of statutory accounts
• Perform balance Sheet accounts reconciliation and monthly analysis
• Responsible for Accounts payables and Accounts receivables
• Process the payments according to the planned payment schedule
• Liaise with business partners for any troubleshooting related to the STP process
• Communication with banks for the day to day activities
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Point of contact for External & Internal Audit
• Support the preparation of monthly Finance Dashboard
• Ad-hoc analysis and reports

Taxes

• Preparation and filing of Corporate Tax (IS) declaration as required
• Preparation and filing of indirect tax and WHT declaration and reports, as applicable
• Preparation and filing of VAT refund requests
• Preparation of periodic Tax reporting to the Group, including Actual and Projections
• Archiving of accounting records and supporting documentation, in line with legal requirements
• Coordinate and support tax audits

Internal controls over financial accounting and reporting (ICON)

• Annual cross functional review of ICON control Matrix
• Perform spot checks

Others

• Support processes improvement and work with the relevant teams to generate solutions
• Communication with Group reporting, tax and Treasury

Qualifications

• Master in Accounting / Finance / Controlling
• 5-7 years related experience in Multi-national companies.
• Fluent French / English

Technical Skills

• Proven experience as a senior accountant
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Good knowledge and understanding of tax and corporate related laws
• Highly computer literate : MS Office, Sage, Navision and ERP systems
