OT & Automation Engineer – Your future position?
As the OT & Automation Engineer of Fragrance & Beauty, you will be based in Changzhou and report to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and security management of Operational Technology (OT) and E&IC & automation systems. Supports production automation projects to ensure high system reliability and security and enhances equipment operational efficiency and plant digitalization.
You will:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize OT systems to ensure the stable performance of production E&IC facilities and automation systems (e.g., PCS7, SCADA, PLCs).
- Participate in the design, implementation, and commissioning of automation projects, including hardware configuration, software programming, system integration, and on-site debugging.
- Configure, maintain, and secure industrial networks (e.g., Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus).
- Execute OT security strategies to ensure production network and data security.
- Maintain and update E&IC and automation system documentation, including program code, configuration parameters, network topology diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Support the configuration and operation of the GASI (Global Automated Systems Interface) system to enable bidirectional communication between equipment data and enterprise management systems.
- Lead the reliability continuous improvement of E&IC and automation system, as well as the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for E&IC and automation system failures and performance issues.
- Provide automation system training and technical guidance to maintenance team to enhance overall skill levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Project Engineering, IT, QC and Logistics) and / or cross-site teams to support automation and digitalization initiatives.
- Other tasks assigned by line manager.

Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation system operation/maintenance or project implementation, preferably in process industries (chemical, food, flavour/fragrance).
- Experience with OT security or industrial network management is an advantage.
- Experience in team collaboration or project coordination is preferred.
- Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines
- Proficient in automation systems such as PCS7, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC.
- Familiar with the GASI system architecture and its data interaction mechanisms with CMS/LCMS.
- Knowledgeable of OT security frameworks.
- Good command of English (written and spoken) for understanding technical manuals and documentation.
- Good command in MS Office and SAP basics
